Report Dirty Toilets on Highways, Get ₹1,000 FASTag Recharge Under NHAI Scheme

NHAI Launches Reward Scheme for Clean Highways

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched an exciting cleanliness initiative offering ₹1,000 FASTag recharge to users who report dirty toilets at toll plazas. The scheme aims to maintain hygiene standards on highways and will remain valid till October 31, 2025, across all national highways in India.

To encourage participation, NHAI has made the process simple and transparent — highway users can upload geo-tagged photos of unclean toilets via the latest version of the Rajmargyatra app. The report must include the user’s name, vehicle registration number (VRN), mobile number, and location details. Once verified, users will receive a ₹1,000 FASTag recharge directly linked to their provided VRN.

How to Get ₹1,000 FASTag Recharge Through Rajmargyatra App

To claim your reward:

  1. Download or update the Rajmargyatra app.
  2. Capture a clear, geo-tagged, and time-stamped image of a dirty toilet under NHAI’s jurisdiction.
  3. Submit it along with your details — name, VRN, and contact number.

Each VRN is eligible for the ₹1,000 FASTag recharge only once during the campaign period. The reward cannot be transferred or claimed in cash, and only the first valid entry per toilet per day will be considered.

AI Verification and Transparency in the Reward Process

To ensure fairness, NHAI will verify all entries using AI-assisted screening and manual checks. Manipulated, duplicate, or previously reported images will be rejected. Moreover, the scheme applies only to toilets built, maintained, or operated by NHAI — excluding those at dhabas, petrol pumps, or other private premises.

This cleanliness drive is a step forward in making India’s highways cleaner and more commuter-friendly.
