Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios’ upcoming war drama 120 Bahadur has achieved a landmark moment in Indian cinema. The film is now the first in the country to release pan-India across military defence theatres through PictureTime’s mobile cinema network. This rollout ensures that soldiers and families posted at remote locations can enjoy big-screen entertainment without limitations, marking a historic milestone for 120 Bahadur.

PictureTime, in collaboration with GenSync Brat Media, has planned screenings for 120 Bahadur across more than 800 defence theatres nationwide. These theatres are meant for soldiers, veterans, and their families—many living in regions with little or no access to regular cinema halls. The team behind PictureTime says the mission is simple: take cinema to the viewers instead of expecting viewers to travel. With 120 Bahadur, this mission reaches its biggest scale yet.

PictureTime Founder-CEO Sushil Chaudhary highlighted that India has nearly 1.5 million active soldiers and a defence community of around 20 million people. Despite this, only 30% have access to functioning defence cinemas. “We aim to reach the underserved 70%, and we begin with a bang with 120 Bahadur, a film that deeply resonates with the spirit of our armed forces,” he said.

Excel Entertainment CEO Vishal Ramchandani said the team feels humbled that 120 Bahadur will be watched first by the very people whose bravery the film honours. He added that the support from PictureTime made this large-scale outreach possible.
