Bollywood’s Mr ‘Perfectionist’ Aamir Khan is in talks with producers Allu Arvind and Madhu Mantena for the sequel of the 2008 hit film ‘Ghajini’. Earlier reports had suggested that the producers have pitched an idea to Aamir, who has requested to develop a storyboard before going ahead. Meanwhile, Allu Arvind has planned to make ‘Ghajini 2’ in Tamil with South star Suriya and Suriya has also revealed about it.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Suriya said in surprise, “After a long time Allu Arvind came up with that idea (for a sequel) and asked if it would be possible. I said of course, sir, we can think about it. Yes, the talks have started, things are in process. ‘Ghajini 2’ can be made.”
Reports indicate that Allu Arvind and Madhu Mantena want to shoot both the Hindi and Tamil versions of ‘Ghajini 2’ simultaneously. A source revealed that as films are targeting a pan India audience, it is becoming difficult to remake the cult classic.
Both Aamir and Surya are excited about ‘Ghajini 2’ but are cautious about being called a remake. They are worried that if one version releases before the other, it might reduce the excitement for both films.
