Aamir Khan will soon be collaborating with Sunny Deol in their upcoming film Lahore 1947 which is going to be produced under Aamir Khan’s production banner. Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol will be seen alongside Rajkumar Santoshi.
Aamir Khan took to his official Instagram handle and penned a beautiful note announcing his upcoming project as a producer with an accomplished director Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol in the lead role.
He wrote “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favorite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching. We seek your blessings. a.”
Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan’s Clashing Past
Interestingly, Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan have had quite a clashing past. Both of these actors have had clashing competitions at the box office. In 1990, it was the first time when Aamir Khan’s film Dil and Sunny Deol’s Ghayal clashed on the same day.
Then in 1996 Raja Hindustani and Ghatak clashed. And in 2001, major blockbusters of the Bollywood industry, Lagaan starring Aamir Khan and Gadar starring Sunny Deol got released on the same day. Now finally, for Lahore 1947, both of them will be seen working on the same project without any clashes and competitions.
Not only Sunny Deol and Aamir Khan, but the director Rajkumar Santoshi and Aamir Khan will be reuniting for the first time after delivering Andaz Apna Apna. Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi have also worked together earlier and have delivered 3 superhit films, Ghatak, Ghayal and Damini.
