AAP MLA’s Mother Gives Heart Winning Reply To Why She’s Still Working As A Sweeper

Recently, the results of Punjab Elections have been announced in which AAP bagged a landslide victory in the Punjab polls, winning 92 Assembly seats, pushing most of its rivals to the margins. And one of the MLA ‘s is making the headlines for some other reasons since the results were out. Labh Singh Ugoke who arose as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader by defeating the Congress’ CM candidate by a comprehensive margin of 37,558 votes is the one we are talking about.

But do you know that a day after the historic win, his mother, Mata Baldev Kaur, arrived at the government school just like any other day at work?

Ugoke, who defeated Channi from the Bhadaur, used to work in a mobile repairing shop before joining politics, and his mother Baldev Kaur worked as a sweeper in a government school. He had joined the AAP in 2013 and rose in the ranks of the party quickly. Interestingly, the mother of the MLA Ugoke on Saturday continued working as a sweeper even after her son won the 2022 Assembly elections in Punjab.

Kaur said, “We have always worked hard to earn money. Irrespective of my son’s position, I will continue to perform my duty in the school.” Joyed by the victory of her son as an AAP candidate whose party symbol is a broom, Kaur said ‘Jhadu’ is an important part of my life.

As soon as this information got out, netizens flooded the internet with comments and applause for Ugoke’s mother and her down-to-earth and genuine nature.

Speaking of Baldev Kaur’s husband Darshan Singh, he had been a laborer all his life but stopped working after undergoing eye surgery recently. He wants his son to focus on the welfare of the people instead of the family.

Meanwhile, villagers were joyed by Labh’s victory, saying that they still can’t believe that Ugoke they knew for so long has become an MLA now.
