After the recent kidnapping of comedian Sunil Pal, news of the kidnapping of Mushtaq Khan, who shared the screen with Akshay Kumar in the movie Welcome, has come to light on Tuesday evening. Bijnor police have registered a case against the kidnappers and started investigation.
The incident is said to have taken place on November 20 when film actor Mushtaq Khan was kidnapped from the Delhi-Meerut highway. He was about to attend an event in Meerut, but he was taken to some other place in a car. This incident has come to light when Sunil Pal’s case is already in the headlines. In such a situation, a big question also arises on the safety of the actors.
In the kidnapping and ransom case, the police have filed a case on the statement of the event manager. According to the police, the entire incident was carried out by calling Mushtaq Khan to the event on the pretext. His business partner Shivam Yadav told the media that after reaching Delhi airport on November 20, he was put in a car which was to take him to Meerut. But midway the car was diverted to another direction.
Shivam further said that the alleged kidnappers tortured Khan for about 12 hours and demanded 1 crore as ransom. When the actor could not pay this amount, they withdrew Rs 2 lakh from the actor and his son’s account.
