Adipurush is one of the year’s most significant and most talked about movies. The mythological drama starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon is an adaptation of the epic Sanskrit work The Ramayana that celebrates the triumph of good over evil.
Today, on 9th May, the film’s new trailer was released amid high expectations. In the trailer, Prabhas stars as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon plays Sita, and Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh. However, the teaser of Adipurush was released last year, but it received a negative response for the poor quality of its VFX. After the critical reception, it was decided to postpone the film and fine-tune the visuals.
The improved visual effects are evident in the new trailer, which immediately stands out from the previous one, making the Adipurush trailer look much better than the teaser released last year. The trailer provides fans with a better understanding of Om Raut’s masterpiece.
The trailer opens with a narration from Hanuman, who takes us into the story of Shri Ram. The trailer also highlights the kidnapping of Sita, followed by the creation of the bridge to Lanka. Moreover, the trailer demonstrates Shabari’s love for Lord Ram and the bond between Hanuman and him. The epic moment when Goddess Sita crosses the Laxman Rekha and reaches Lanka Dahan is also shown briefly in the trailer.
In contrast to the teaser, the new trailer does not reveal much about Lankesh. He only makes a disguised appearance midway through the trailer and is only briefly seen at the end. The dialogues, however, are written very well and in a manner that catches the audience’s attention. One became the trailer’s highlight when, in a sequence with Shabari, Raghav discusses the significance of “karm” and emphasizes that a man’s stature is determined not by his birth but by his actions.
The 3-minute Adipurush trailer keeps you hooked, and you will miss a shot in a blink. The movie, which promises to transport viewers to a mythical and mesmerizing world, appears to have all the right ingredients for a blockbuster hit, with an already captivating story, improved VFX, a heart-thumping background score, and stellar performances to look forward to.
The trailer was unveiled at a special screening in Hyderabad on Monday. The event was attended by members of the film’s team, including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and the director, Om Raut. Adipurush will open on big screens in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on June 16. Watch the trailer here:
