Recently, the nation lost a very talented and legendary singer, Bappi Lahiri: better known as Disco King who was last seen in Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss. He was quite the entertainer when he visited the show which was incidentally his last outing on screen.
He shared some memorable moments on the show. The singer-composer had a brief interaction with the participants. Among the contestants, popular Punjabi singer Afsana Khan who spoke to him on the show. She was recently seen recounting how happy she was to interact with Bappi Da. And to remember those times she told ETimes that, “I feel blessed that I got an opportunity to speak to him on the reality show. He blessed me. It was my wish to sing with him one day… that can’t happen now but I got his blessings and I feel grateful for that.”
Recalling the lucky day, she said she remembers the day when he visited Bigg Boss on the weekend episode. Like Bappi Da she also wears a lot of gold jewels but on that specific day she chose not to wear any of it.
Not only this, in the conversation with Late artist she also revealed that people in Punjab ask her if she is his daughter or part of his family. She felt thankful to meet him. And said that he will always be known for his singing.
However, in reply to the question when she was asked about her ornaments and jewels, she said, “Yes, also for wearing heavy gold ornaments. I too was inspired by him as I love wearing gold. But he used to carry it off so well. It’s sad that he is not with us anymore.”

She concluded and said that the industry has lost two gems in the past few days – Lata didi and now Bappi ji. She paid her respects to him and said there will not be another Bappi Lahiri born, he was unique and had some extraordinary skills.
‘Titliyaan’ fame Afsana shared a short clip from BB where all the participants along with Salman and Bappi Lahiri can be seen. In the video, Salman introduced Afsana Khan as the ‘female Bappi Lahiri’ which left the late musician all smiling.
The legendary musician left for his heavenly abode on February 15 and his unfortunate demise had left the nation mourning. Ever since the news of Bappi Lahiri’s demise surfaced, social media is abuzz with tweets condoling the loss of the music maverick.
