The All India Council for Technical Education has asked engineering colleges to use books by Indian Authors in the curriculum. This step is taken to promote the Prime Minister’s vision for Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission.

The AICTE says, “Such high-quality and cost-effective books will definitely aid the students in their better learning of concepts, and in turn improve their quality and simultaneously fulfill the aim of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”

Prime Minister of India; Sh. Narendra Modi had called for Atmanirbhar Bharat during the lockdown for making India a better and more independent nation. This news is getting mixed reviews from people on the Internet as few are saying it is a good step to promote Indian culture and Indian authors, while others are saying, it’s not good to set boundaries in the education system at least.
