‘It’s My Fault’: Akshay Kumar Takes Responsibility For His Back To Back Flop Films

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is someone who is ruling the internet this year but unfortunately not for good reasons. The superstar has given the Bollywood Film Industry superhit movies like Welcome, Hera Pheri, Kesari Sooryavanshi and more. But it looks like luck is not on his side in 2022. Akshay Kumar released 3 films; Bell Bottom, Samrat Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan this year, and all three of these, unfortunately, failed badly at the box office.

The Rowdy Rathore star is now all set to release his fourth film of the year call Cuttputlli. The film will star him along with Rakul Preet Kaur and Sargun Mehta in the leading roles.

Akshay Kumar took the responsibility for the reason behind his film’s failure at the box office. Describing the same in detail, Akshay said, “If my films are not working, it is our fault, it is my fault. I have to make the changes, I have to understand what the audience wants. I want to make changes, I want to dismantle my way of working and think what kind of films I should be doing. Nobody else is to be blamed but me.”

Later Akshay also answered another question which said if it is a safe way to release the films directly on OTT platforms. Akshay denied and boldly stated that nothing is safe when it comes to the film’s release.

He said, “It is not safe, that also requires people to say if they like the trailer or not. Nothing is safe, it is not our safety net. Even here (on OTT) people are watching, the media is watching it, the critics are watching it, the audience is watching it, they give feedback whether they like it or not. So, there’s nothing like creating a safe space, you have to work hard, period.”

Moreover, Cuttputlli is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and produced by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment. The film will not witness a theatrical release but will stream on Disney+Hotstar from September 2nd.
