A recent viral video of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar losing his temper at a fan in London has sparked plenty of online gossip. The clip showed Akshay snatching a phone from someone who was recording him without permission. But now, the fan in question has posted a new video on Reddit, offering his version of what actually happened – and it’s far more relaxed than people assumed.
The fan speaks up
The fan shatred the video on Reddit and said “I was standing at the signal on Oxford Street when I saw someone who I thought was Akshay Kumar. To verify, I decided to follow him. First, I took a video from behind. Then, when I tried to record from the front, he saw me, came closer, and directly snatched my phone. Maybe he was busy at the time. He pulled the phone from my hand and also grabbed my hand,”. The fan explained that the actor soon returned the phone and had a calm conversation with him.
It ended on a friendly note
“He (Akshay Kumar) said, ‘Sorry beta, I’m busy right now, please don’t disturb me and don’t take my photo or video.’ I told him, ‘You could’ve said that politely. Now please give me my phone back.’ After that, Akshay Kumar returned my phone and asked me where I’m from and what I’m doing here. In the end, he even agreed to take a picture with me. There wasn’t any major issue between us. He was actually a really nice guy. He looked like he was only 35-40 years old,” said the fan.
Mixed reactions online
While many praised Akshay for eventually handling the situation with grace, a few netizens questioned whether the fan’s version was entirely accurate. A source quoted by News18 claimed the fan had continued following Akshay even after getting a photo, which might have caused the actor to react.
What’s next for Akshay?
On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a packed schedule. He will next be seen in Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla, co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Paresh Rawal. He’s also set to begin shooting for Hera Pheri 3 with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal.
In the end, it looks like a minor misunderstanding — one that quickly went viral but ended on a surprisingly friendly note.
