Over 200 Al Falah University Members Questioned As Terror Probe Intensifies

Agencies questioning staff during Al Falah University terror probe

Investigating agencies have expanded the Al Falah University terror probe after the November 10 Red Fort blast, placing more than 200 doctors, staff members and students under close scrutiny. Frequent checking, questioning and movement restrictions have created tension on campus as teams from multiple states work jointly to uncover possible links to terrorism. With several employees leaving the premises abruptly, agencies are digging deeper into what triggered these sudden departures, adding urgency to the Al Falah University terror probe.

Hundreds Questioned, Mobile Data Deleted

Security teams have been scanning hostels, rented accommodations and rooms of students living off-campus. Over 1,000 individuals have been questioned so far.
Investigators have noted that several people deleted mobile phone data soon after the blast, a suspicious move that is now being analysed as part of the Al Falah University terror probe.

Sources say agencies are trying to identify every person who left the university right after the explosion, suspecting that some may have direct or indirect links to the terrorists involved.

Key Arrest In Nuh Linked To Suicide Bomber

A major breakthrough came when a 35-year-old Anganwadi worker from Nuh — who rented a room to suicide bomber Umar Un Nabi — was detained. She had been absconding since the Delhi blast.
Her family members and seven others from Nuh are being questioned to establish whether they had any connection with Umar, who used multiple mobile phones while living in the rented property. This discovery has added more weight to the expanding Al Falah University terror probe.

Suspicious Patterns Inside The University

Sources at the Al Falah Medical College say Umar received unusual “special treatment” at the institute. Doctors revealed that he disappeared for nearly six months in 2023 without leave, yet resumed duty without any action.
He took very few classes, often delivering 15–20 minute lectures before returning to his room. He was also assigned only night or evening shifts — a pattern that is raising questions within the Al Falah University terror probe.

Meanwhile, patient footfall at the university hospital has dropped from 200 per day to less than 100 since the probe began.

Multiple Agencies Monitoring Campus

The NIA, Delhi Police Special Cell, Uttar Pradesh ATS, Faridabad Crime Branch and Jammu and Kashmir Police have all established a temporary command centre inside the university. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also joined the investigation, examining suspicious financial links.
