Punjabi youth sensation Diljit Dosanjh has been collaborating with several international artists for quite some time. Earlier the singer shared his collaboration with international pop sensation Sia which the fans cannot wait for.
Now, Diljit Dosanjh has recently taken to his Instagram account and announced his collaboration with an international artist Saweetie. It is speculated that this collaboration might be for the Ghost album.
Who is Saweetie?
Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, professionally known as Saweetie is an American rapper who released her debut song in 2017. After the release of her debut single Icy Girl, Saweetie was signed to her then manager Max Gousse’s record label Artistry worldwide which is a subsidiary of Warner Records.
How did Saweetie begin her career?
Saweetie began her career by releasing clips of her freestyle on her Instagram account, this brought her fame back in 2016 and her growth hasn’t stopped since.
In June 2020, the American rapper released a freestyle rap “ High Maintenance “ in which there was also a video clip of herself rapping in her kitchen which went viral on the internet.
In February 2018, during the Super Bowl Lll, she was featured in a commercial Ad for Fenti beauty, Rihanna’s cosmetic company. In that particular month, she also signed for Warner Bros record label and Gousse’s record label. In 2018 Saweetie launched her own record label called Icy Record and in 2021, the rapper got nominated twice for 64th Grammy Awards including the one for Best New Artist. Earlier in July 2023 it was also announced that Saweetie will co headline a tour with YG and Tyga scheduled for the West Coast and Canada. Now, she looks to gain the attention of the Indian audience with her latest collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh.
