Punjab cabinet minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Aman Arora on Friday strongly denied all accusations linked to the Aman Arora ED Allegations, saying the claims were politically motivated and aimed at damaging his reputation.
Addressing the media, Arora said he was fully ready to face any probe and even promised to quit politics if any wrongdoing was proven against him. He accused the BJP of using central agencies for “politics of intimidation and character assassination” through the ongoing Aman Arora ED Allegations controversy.
The AAP leader claimed he had never even heard the names of several individuals mentioned in the case, including Suresh Kumar Bajaj, Ajay Sehgal, Nitin Goyal and Pritpal Singh Dhindsa, before Wednesday. Speaking about businessman Gaurav Dhir, Arora said their friendship was more than 22 years old and based purely on personal trust.
Aman Arora Denies Financial Links
Reacting to the Aman Arora ED Allegations, the minister clarified that he had no business or financial dealings with Dhir. He also accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of presenting selective information while ignoring politically inconvenient facts.
Arora alleged that Suresh Kumar Bajaj, one of the individuals named in the case, had donated ₹2.5 lakh to the BJP during 2023-24. According to him, this detail was intentionally left out from the official narrative around the Aman Arora ED Allegations.
The minister also addressed concerns linked to the Altus project. He explained that the company’s 600-acre mega project had received Change of Land Use (CLU) approvals during 2013-14. Arora stated that such licences remain valid if developers continue to follow government policies and regulations.
Altus Project Row Intensifies
Arora further claimed that the issue related to six acres allegedly connected to Gaurav Dhir was being twisted for political purposes. He added that Altus was once among the biggest defaulters to GMADA and the Punjab government but now holds a no-dues certificate.
“If the Punjab government itself has issued a no-dues certificate and all dues have been cleared, then where is the fraud?” Arora questioned while responding to the Aman Arora ED Allegations.
The controversy has now triggered a fresh political clash between the AAP and BJP in Punjab, with both sides trading sharp accusations over misuse of agencies and political targeting.
