Gadar 2’s roaring success has broken most of the records and is likely to beat Pathaan too. Helmed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 has turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.
One of the major reasons for the success of this film is that the makers kept the star cast intact. Everything was original and they did not try to experiment with anything.
Recently, Anil Sharma, the director and producer of Gadar 2 was asked who would he pick from the current generation, to play the role of Tara Singh. The director did not hesitate at all and chose the name of South Indian superstar Jr NTR.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anil Sharma said, “I don’t find anyone in the young lot. Bombay mein toh nahi hai south me phir bhi hai thoda play kar sakta Junior NTR jaisa koi banda kar sakta hai, inki kuch image hai baki aur bombay mein toh nahi kar sakta (I don’t see anyone in Bombay. Maybe in the South, Jr NTR could play it; he has a certain image that could work)”.
The film is still roaring high as it has already entered the ₹500 crore club. Gadar 2 has made history by becoming the first film to enter the ₹500 crore club this fastfast by collecting over ₹503 crore so far.
