Annapoorani has been accused of hurting Hindu religious sentiments. An FIR has been registered against the film in Mumbai and Jabalpur.

A Hindu organization has lodged an FIR against the entire star cast, producer and director of the film in Jabalpur. It has been said that there are many such scenes in the film Annapoorani, in which the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt by making inappropriate comments against Lord Shri Ram. 

Apart from this, it is also shown that Lord Ram used to kill animals and eat meat during his exile.

Ramesh Solanki had also called the film ‘anti-Hindu’. It was said that this movie was deliberately released a few days before the consecration of Ram temple. 

He had expressed the flaws of the film in three points. It was said that in this Farhan is instigating the actress to eat meat. It is being said that Lord Ram used to kill and eat animals in the forests during his exile. Therefore, there should be a case against the director, producer and others. Action should be taken.

After this whole controversy, the film has been removed from the OTT platforms. Yes, you read that right! Netflix has removed the film Annapoorani from its platform after a widespread protest and backlash.
