Anupam Kher Finally Breaks His Silence On The Kashmir Files’ Controversy With TKSS

As there’s a controversy regarding The Kapil Sharma Show and movie The Kashmir Files rounding everywhere, to this actor Anupam Kher has reacted to not being invited on The Kapil Sharma Show. 

On a talk show, the veteran actor clarified that Kapil had invited him two months ago to promote this film on The Kapil Sharma Show but Anupam refused because the film is a serious one to be discussed on a comedy show.

Kapil Sharma shared a clip of that video on his social media handle and thanked Anupam Kher for clarifying “false allegations” against him considering not promoting The Kashmir Files.

It all started when one of the fans asked director Vivek Agnihotri the reason for not promoting the movie on TKSS to which the director had replied that since his film didn’t have a commercial star cast they weren’t invited.

Another fan, when asked by Kapil Sharma, if he got scared from promoting The Kashmir Files on his show, he replied, “Yeh sach nahi hai rathore sahab. Aapne puchha isliye bata diya, baaki jinhone sach maan liya unko explanation dene ka kya faayda.”

Speaking about the film, it tells the true story of brutal sufferings endured by Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmir insurgency. It is a true story, based on video interviews of the first generation victims of The Kashmir Genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community. It’s a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits and questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.

The Kashmir Files’ cast features Anupam Kher as Pushkarnath, Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali as Shraddha Pandit and Chinmay Mandlekar as Farooq Malik aka Bitta, among others. The film is bankrolled by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the Zee Studios, IAmBuddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners.
