After 29 years of marriage, AR Rahman and Saira Bano decided to separate. The parents of three children had announced this on the night of 19 November. Now in the meantime, an old interview of the singer is going viral, in which he talked about the adjustment after marriage. He also said how all three children know when the singer is sad.
AR Rahman had said in a conversation with ‘Rahmaniac.com’, ‘You know that it is always difficult for any family to adjust with a new person. Like all mothers, my mother was also very possessive about me. And we all lived in a joint family, so the time of adjustment was necessary. In 1995, my eldest daughter Khatija was born and after that everything was fine. ‘
AR Rahman had said that his family was South Indian. So, it took him some time to adjust with Saira who comes from a Gujarati family but later everything was fine. He also mentioned that he behaves in anger with his team so that his work gets done. Whereas, he remains very calm with his family.
The singer had said, ‘My children are sensitive. And they know when I am upset. Rahman had told me that he does not like to be in a crowd. He likes to spend time in peace. He likes to be alone.’ He said that when it comes to family, his anger is just a pretense.
