Aryan Khan Finally Granted Bail By Bombay High Court In Possession Of Drugs Case

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, has finally been granted bail in the drugs case. Details regarding the bail order will be given tomorrow by the court, which also means that Aryan will have to spend the night inside. Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, arrested alongside Aryan in the case, have also been granted bail.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had busted a rave party organized at a Goa-bound ship, pretending to be passengers. Shah Rukh Khan’s son was present at the party and for that reason, was taken by NCB for interrogation. Finally on 3 October, he was arrested in connection to the drugs case. Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, both of whom were Aryan’s friends, were also arrested.

Aryan Khan had to stay behind the bars at Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail after the Bombay High Court rejected his bail application on 20 October. Aryan Khan was charged by the NCB under four sections, Section 8(c), Section 20(b), Section 27 and Section 35, accusing him of selling/purchasing/possession or consumption of narcotic drugs.

Aryan Khan’s legal team included senior advocates Satish Maneshinde and Amit Desai, who fought for his bail plea while NCB’s representative in the court, Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, opposed the bail plea.

Aryan Khan’s bail plea had been earlier rejected by the Bombay High Court but as of 28 October, the bail has finally been granted to Aryan Khan as well as his friends who were arrested, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant.
