Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has not sung songs in Bollywood for many years because of the ban which was imposed on all the Pakistani artists. Before the ban on Pakistani artists, Atif Aslam has sung a lot of hit bollywood songs like Dil Diyaan Gallan, Mai Rang Sharbaton Ka, Tere Liye and many more.
Atif Aslam sang his first bollywood song ‘Aadat’ in the 2005 film ‘Kalyug’, and has always been loved for his voice very much. Now there is very good news for Atif’s fans.
Nearly 7 years after recording his last song in India, Atif is now going to make a comeback in Bollywood. The makers of the Bollywood film ‘Love Story of 90s’ (LSO90’s) are going to collaborate with Atif for their new film.
In this film directed by Amit Kasaria, Adhyayan Suman and Miss Universe Diva, Divita Rai are in the leading roles.
After the Uriattack in 2016, Pakistani artists were banned from working in India. Citing ‘security’ and ‘patriotism’, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association had made a rule that they would not allow talent from across the border to work in India.
After which artists like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan were not seen working in Bollywood.
In October 2023, the Bombay High Court lifted the ban, calling it ‘adverse to cultural harmony, unity and peace’.
Haresh Sangani and Dharmesh Sangani, producers and distributors of ‘Love Story of 90s’ said ‘It is a very reassuring thing for Atif Aslam to make a comeback after 7-8 years. We are very happy because she has sung the first song in our film ‘Love Story of 90s. Atif Aslam’s fans will be very thrilled. He is going to make a comeback in Bollywood through our film.”
