B Praak, renowned singer and composer, has canceled his planned appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast after viewing a controversial segment from Samay Raina’s show. In a video statement, B Praak expressed his disapproval of the vulgar nature of the conversation, describing it as offensive to Indian culture.
“This is not comedy at all,” he stated, addressing the show’s content and its hosts. Praak specifically criticized comedian Jaspreet Singh, questioning whether such material was appropriate for him as a Sikh. He further criticized Ranveer Allahbadia for promoting spirituality and Hinduism, while engaging in what he termed “low-level thinking.”
Although Ranveer Allahbadia has issued a public apology, there are growing calls from the public for more accountability. Many believe the apology is insufficient and are advocating for stricter regulations and censorship on online platforms to prevent such content.
The incident has sparked widespread debate on the responsibility of influencers and comedians in shaping public discourse, with calls for clearer guidelines on content that aligns with Indian cultural values.
