If you are a movie buff, and especially love the romantic and comedy genre, you might have already watched the Good Newws and Lust Stories. And if you haven’t watched these yet, we highly recommend you to watch them as soon as possible. While Good Newwz is a Bollywood blockbuster, Lust Stories is one of the most successful anthologies on Netflix.
Not only were these two projects highly successful but also attracted massive appreciation for the star cast. Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani were the leading actors in Good Newwz. And on the other hand, Lust Stories was an anthology with a total of 4 tales in it. It starred actors like Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala and Kiara Advani with Akash Thosar, Vicky Kaushal, Neha Dhupia and others.
But do you know there is one extremely popular Punjabi rapper who was offered roles in these two projects? Yes, and before you start wasting your time in random guesses, let us unveil that we are talking about none other than Badshah. Yes, the Jugnu fame Badshah had a chance to act in Good Newwz and Lust Stories. He was offered a role in Good Newwz which was later played by Diljit Dosanjh, and Vicky Kaushal replaced him in Lust Stories. Surprisingly, he was supposed to be featured in a romantic role opposite Kiara Advani.
But can you guess why Badshah turned the offers down? You will be surprised to know, that he only refused to be a part of Good Newwz and Lust Stories because he was offered sexually weak characters. He feels, in Good Newwz, he was supposed to play a man who is unable to reproduce, and in Lust Stories, the man wasn’t able to satisfy his wife.
Recently in Amazon Mini TV’s popular show, ‘Case Toh Banta Hai’, Badshah opened up about the bad choices he made. He was asked about why did he chose to act in Khandani Shafakhana, and Badshah had an elaborative answer to this.
Badshah stated, “Mujhe sabse pehli film offer hui thi Lust Stories, uss mai Vicky Kaushal ka role mujhe offer hua tha jismai woh apni wife ko satisfy nahi kar pata hai, toh maine woh turn down kar diya. Aur dusra role mujhe offer hua Good Newwz film aai thi, jis mai Diljit Paji ka role offer hua tha jismai woh bache nahi paida kar pate toh woh bhi maine decline kar di, toh teesra role mujhe yeh offer hua, toh mujhe laga saala chehre pai kuch likha hai kya? Toh maine yeh jinx mitane ke liye film ki, mujhe kya pata mera (acting) career hi mit jayega!”

Badshah probably badly regrets rejecting the super successful and extremely popular projects like Good Newwz and Lust Stories. But no doubt, Diljit Dosanjh and Vicky Kaushal were too good in their respective roles and succeeded in breaking the glass.
