The trial run of the Bandikui-Jaipur Link Expressway—connecting Jaipur directly to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway—kicked off on Wednesday, bringing major travel relief for commuters. With this new expressway, the drive from Jaipur to Delhi will now take only 2.5 to 3 hours, offering a much faster and smoother journey.
The trial began at 8 a.m., and for the next 10 days, vehicles can use the road without paying any toll. During this period, authorities will test the road quality, safety features, and facilities to fix any issues before toll collection officially starts.
Spanning around 67 km, this four-lane, access-controlled expressway runs from Bandikui (Dausa district) to Jaipur. Vehicles can drive at speeds of up to 120 km/h, and the entire stretch has been built ahead of schedule at a cost of ₹1,368 crore.
Once fully open, travel between Bandikui and Jaipur will take just 25–30 minutes—down from over an hour. This will also speed up the full Jaipur to Delhi journey and cut the Gurugram to Bandikui travel time to just three hours.
On day one of the trial, the road was opened directly for public traffic. The Khuri Interchange is also active now to manage vehicles coming from the Manoharpur-Kauthun Highway. Other interchanges are expected to be opened soon based on how the trial goes.
“All toll booths are ready, and we’ll begin charging as soon as we get the final go-ahead,” said B.S. Joiya, Project Director, NHAI Dausa Unit.
During the trial, most vehicles can use the road freely—except motorcycles, tractors, and other restricted categories.
Proposed toll rates (for private cars) are:
- ₹150 for Jaipur to Bandikui
- ₹550–₹560 for Jaipur to Sohna (via Bandikui)
- ₹130 for Sohna to Gurugram
- ₹680–₹690 for the full Jaipur to Delhi route
This expressway is expected to significantly ease road travel in the region and benefit thousands of daily commuters.
