Bollywood Films That Captured Emotions And Concepts Of Life Brilliantly

Emotions in Bollywood has been the main element, thus some movie scripts focus on capturing different emotions of life beautifuly. We all know the cinema is a mirror to ourselves which reflects whatever is going in the society, hence some Bollywood movies come-up with strong and impactful ploys which motivates us to break the paths and boundaries set by the society.

1: Wake Up Sid

2009 released ‘Wake-Up Sid’ is the story of “Sid” Mehra played by Ranbir Kapoor whi is an extremely lazy and carefree university student in his early twenties living in Mumbai not knowing what he wants to pursue. His imagination, creativity, and talent for art (especially photography) are often disregarded and ignored. His father, Ram Mehra is a very opulent tycoon who wants his son to excel while his mother Sarita is a housewife often frustrated by Sid’s incompetence yet puts up with his laziness, ending up pampering him. The movie raise many questions which we should be asking ourselves like where are we standing in life? Where are we heading towards?  Are we really satisfied with the life we have chosen for ourselves?

2: Kapoor and Sons

Legendary actor Rishi Kapoor’s famous dialogue “Marne Se Phele main Chahta hoon ke mere pariwar ke saath ek family photo ho..jiske niche title hoga “Kapoor and Sons,” has all the emotions of life. The movie is based on a family drama, in which we see Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajat Kapoor, and the late Rishi Kapoor playing commenable character. The film is based on brothers Rahul and Arjun Kapoor who are compelled to return to their childhood home in Coonoor when their 90-year-old grandfather Amarjeet suffers a heart attack. Rahul is a successful writer based in London who appears to be the most matured one in the family. Arjun, on the other hand, struggles to get his books published, resorting to working part-time as a bartender in Newark. Their parents, Harsh and Sunita, favor Rahul for being successful, which upsets Arjun. While recovering in the hospital, Amarjeet expresses that his last wish is to take a family photo.

3: Ludo

Recently release movie on Netflix ‘Ludo’ hits different emotions of different persons and how they are dealing with their problems, what they are dreaming and what exactly is the reality of life, in short the film is all about dark comedy of every single person’s life. The movie is directed by Anurag Basu and stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Suresh Saraf, Pearle Manney. The iconic dialogue of the movie is,

4: Dear Zindagi

Starring Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt 2016 released film ‘Dear Zindagi’, focuses on the youngsters’ lives, focusing on how much they are depressed, how sensitive they are, story based on a budding cinematographer who is discontented with her life and meets a free-spirited psychologist who helps her to gain a new perspective of her life. The movie is the mirror for everyone stating that what kind of depressive lives we are living.

5: Tamasha

Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama film Tamasha tells the story of character Ved Vardhan Sahni (played by Kapoor) in three stages–as a 9-year-old child, a 19-year-old adolescent, and a 30-year-old adult in a drama-based non-linear screenplay, wherein the lead role we see Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The movie is considered one of the best works of Imtiaz Ali.

The story hit the lives of a homemakers as Sridevi plays the role of Shashi a homemaker who sells the laddoos as a home-run business. Her husband Satish and daughter Sapna takes her for granted, mock her poor English skills, and generally treat her with disrespect, making Shashi feel negative and insecure. However, her young son, Sagar loves her as she is, and her mother-in-law offers her words of sympathy, and how she gives the answers to society including her husband through her hard-work. In the end, she said some evergreen lines which won our hearts;

7: Dil Dhadakne Do

Dil Dhadakne Do is the story of a high-class family starring Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar. The story is based on Kamal Mehra’s family where every four of them are struggling in their lives but still they show-off as an ideal family in front of everyone. The movie gives us a very beautiful message.
