The actress had to appear in Bombay High Court on September 1st regarding the same case, but the hearing was delayed as she had moved the High Court. Javed Akhtar’s lawyer Jay Bharadwaj sought dismissal of the plea stating, “The magistrate had applied his mind to direct an inquiry after examining Akhtar’s complaint”.

The case was registered in November 2019 by Javed Akhtar. Apart from this, the actress has been surrounded by various controversies due to her insensitive and unacceptable remarks/comments. She has also been involved in online rifts with various Punjabi celebrities including Diljit Dosanjh, Ranjit Bawa, Jasbir Jassi and more.
