Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatta and Ranbir Kapoor was one such film that took the VFX to another level. Directed by Ayan Mujherji, this film managed to do a business of over ₹400 crores worldwide. The film was released on 9 September 2022 and today marks its year anniversary.
Ayan Mujherji took to his official Instagram handle and shared a post regarding the same. He said ‘ “On 9th September 2022, we introduced you to a world of Astras. Celebrating 1 year of Brahmastra,”. In his caption, he wrote, “Happy 1st Birthday, Brahmāstra! Thank you for all the Creativity, all the HardWork, and for all the Lessons in Film-making, and in Life ! P.S.: Will share some early artwork from the next stage of the Brahmāstra journey in a bit…!”
After this, Karan Johar also posted on his Instagram account regarding the same and celebrated the first year anniversary with the makers.
He wrote “one year of labor of love” and marking the notable performance of the team. “Today we mark and celebrate one year of this labor of love. Truly, one experience….one journey….one story that is told with the heart and soul. An army of people giving in their best to showcase nothing short of magic on the big screen. The power of love & light will continue to shine bright!!! #brahmāstra,”
After the huge success of Brahmastra part one, Ayan Mukherji’s Instagram post revealed that the second and the third part are still in progress. He also stated that the second and the third parts of the Brahmastra franchise will be ‘bigger and more ambitious’ than the first part.
Earlier this year, Ayan Mukherji announced the release dates of Brahmastra part 2 and 3 through an official Instagram post.
