Canada To Open Borders For Fully Vaccinated Travellers And More. Here Is All About Canada’s New Travel Guidelines

Canada has recently released the new guidelines for travellers who are seeking to visit Canada. If you are one of the thousands of people who are willing and looking forward to visiting Canada and are waiting for them to open the borders and ease the restrictions, then this news is going to bring a smile on your face.

The government of Canada has announced that Canada will be opening the borders for fully vaccinated tourists. Citizens from the U.S. are allowed to visit Canada from August 9th, 2021, and on September 7th, 2021 for tourists from all other countries.

The following are the basic points mentioned in the new guidelines;

  • Fully vaccinated U.S. tourists can enter Canada starting from August 9th.
  • Hotel quarantine policy ending August 9th.
  • Fully vaccinated children of Canadians, and other exempt travellers to have amended quarantine starting August 9th.
  • Fully vaccinated tourists from all countries can enter September 7th.
  • India flight ban extended to August 21st.
  • More airports accepting international flights.

As per the report of CIC News, to be considered “fully vaccinated,” travellers must have the recommended dosage of a vaccine approved for use in Canada. The final injection must have been received at least 14 days prior to entry. It does not matter which country travellers got their vaccines from. Currently, Canada accepts the following vaccine manufacturers: Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson). All results must be presented in French or English, otherwise border officials will need to see a certified translation.
