Centre Engages TMC Amid Delegation Dispute As Abhishek Joins Operation Sindoor Diplomacy Efforts

In a move signaling a possible thaw in Centre-TMC relations, the central government has reached out to the Trinamool Congress amidst the ongoing dispute over the exclusion of TMC members from an all-party parliamentary delegation related to Operation Sindoor. TMC’s national general secretary and Lok Sabha MP, Abhishek Banerjee, has now been invited to join the discussions, marking a significant development in the diplomatic engagement surrounding the sensitive operation.

This outreach comes after the TMC expressed strong objection over being left out of the earlier delegation visit to violence-hit Jammu and Kashmir. The exclusion led to tensions between the ruling party at the Centre and the West Bengal-based opposition party. However, the Centre’s recent invitation to Banerjee appears to be a step toward easing the standoff and ensuring broader political participation in matters of national importance.

Abhishek Banerjee is set to participate in the Operation Sindoor diplomacy talks alongside other prominent leaders, indicating the Centre’s intent to make the dialogue more inclusive. The government, while firm on its stance regarding national security, seems to be opening channels of communication with opposition voices, especially from states like West Bengal.

This development could mark the beginning of a more collaborative approach in addressing both internal and external challenges through parliamentary consensus.
