When the ban due to COVID-19 on theatres was lifted, the Punjabi film industry found it as a golden chance to finally come up with their projects they’d prepared for more than a year. Many big titles were announced and many were even released. 2 of the biggest films that were announced to be releasing this year were Chal Mera Putt 3 and Moosa Jatt.

Chal Mera Putt 2 was finally released in theatres worldwide on 27 August, 2021. It had suffered a huge loss of business during its first worldwide theatrical release in 2020, before the global pandemic of COVID-19 started in the country. But it was finally re-released after more than a year and went to shatter records.
At the end of the movie’s theatrical premier, the makers announced the news Punjabi cinema fans were waiting for. The second installment of the movie series was released after such a huge gap that the team had even shot the third installment. So it was useless wasting anymore time and finally Chal Mera Putt 3 was announced to be releasing on 1 October.
This made the movie clash with another big title releasing this year. Sidhu Moosewala, who is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars the Punjabi industry has ever witnessed, prepared for his acting debut with the movie ‘Moosa Jatt’, set to release on 1 October, the same date as Chal Mera Putt 3.
