Cinemas To Stay Shut In Punjab

The headline is definitely bad news for all the cinema lovers in Punjab, but the news is right. Punjab CM, Captain Amarinder Singh has decided not to reopen cinema halls, multiplexes and entertainment Parks in Punjab to avoid any risk against COVID-19.

This decision, no doubt is taken for the well being of the people living in Punjab, but it is surely disappointing news, because people were eagerly waiting for something entertaining, as it’s been 7 months the cinemas are shut.

However, Ramlilas to be allowed with strict Covid protocols. Details to be announced after Covid review meeting by CM.”

The central government has allowed the opening of Cinema halls, except in most contaminated zones, from October 15th, but still the Punjab Government has decided to make them stay shut till further orders. But Ramlila events are allowed with strict protocols and guidelines to be followed.
