India’s central government has taken steps to address supply concerns after reports emerged of limited availability of commercial cooking gas cylinders in several regions. However, sectors like hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses — which fall under non-essential commercial use — will have their requests examined individually by the monitoring committee. Officials will review applications based on urgency, necessity, and current stock availability as authorities attempt to manage the commercial LPG shortage in India.
To streamline communication, oil companies have also provided official email addresses where organisations can submit requests for urgent LPG requirements.
