
Amidst the ongoing political tussle in Rajasthan Congress and suspense over Ashok Gehlot filing nomination, former CM of Madhya Pradesh and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh has reached Delhi. As per the sources, Digvijaya after having a discussion with Rahul Gandhi in Kerala, is all set to file nomination in the Congress president election.
However, if the Congress high command gives a green signal to Gehlot, Digvijaya may step back. Furthermore, the sources close to Gandhi family and the Congress party claim that after giving a clean chit to Gehlot over Rajasthan “drama”, it’s speculated that he may still file the nomination.

Moreover, either Digvijaya Singh or Ashok Gehlot will contest against Shashi Tharoor in the Congress president elections. Subsequently, after Rajasthan’s crisis, Sonia Gandhi is reportedly unhappy with Ashok Gehlot, after which, there was a buzz that he won’t contest for the Congress presidential elections.
But soon after Ashok Gehlot was reportedly given a “clean chit” over Rajasthan crisis, the political pundits have once again started speculating that Mr. Gehlot may contest in the Congress president elections. Amidst this, Ashok Gehlot reached Delhi last night, and will me meeting Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the interim chief of the Indian National Congress.
On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi continues his “Bharat Jodo Yatra”, and it’s final that he won’t be coming to Delhi. However, it’s believed that Digvijaya Singh has been sent to Delhi by Rahul Gandhi, but still, all eyes are set on the meeting of INC chief Sonia Gandhi and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.
On the other hand, there are speculations that if Ashok Gehlot contests, Digvijaya Singh won’t be filing the nomination. Subsequently, if Gehlot moves to Delhi, Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra’s name is on the top of the list for the next CM post. If that happens, it would be a major jolt to Sachin Pilot.
Furthermore, today it maybe clear that what’s next for the Congress party at national level as well as in Rajasthan.
