Congress Spokesperson Pawan Khera: Udaipur Case Accused Is A BJP Member, Saffron Party Denies

The Congress party has alleged that the accused in Udaipur case is linked with the Bharatiya Janata Party. After the Congress seized on news reports and social media posts to make the connection, the saffron party fiercely refuted the claim. At a news conference, Sadiq Khan, the leader of the BJP’s minority unit, Rajasthan, reiterated that the assassination of Kanhaiya Lal was a failure of the Congress government in the state. “We have no links to any of the accused,” he further added.

One of the major suspects in the Udaipur incidence is allegedly a “BJP member,” according to the Congress party, which questioned whether the government rushed hastily to transfer the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in order to cover it up. As refered by Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, a media group’s “quite dramatic disclosure” regarding the Udaipur event has indicated the BJP’s connections to Riyaz Attari, also known as Riaz Akhtari.

Posting the pictures of the accused, Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury quoted from her official twitter handle, : “I’m not surprised.. Are you?” along with a collage of pictures, claiming that “Udaipur murderer is from BJP. Murderer Riyaz is from the BJP Minority Cell. He attended many BJP events.”

BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya denied the allegations made by the Congress party. In a tweet, Amit Amlviya quoted, “I am not surprised that you are peddling #FakeNews. The Udaipur murderers WERN’T members of the BJP. Their attempt to infiltrate was like the LTTE assassin’s attempt to enter the Congress to kill Rajiv Gandhi.”

Tuesday afternoon, two men brutally murdered tailor Kanhaiya Lal and had broadcast a video of the gruesome incident, claiming responsibility and accusing Kanhaiya Lal of insulting the Prophet Mohammed in a social media post.
