Cong’s Claim: Z+ Security Given To Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal By Punjab Govt, Police Denies

Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira and PPCC chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring made a big claim on Wednesday. The Congress leaders alleged that the Punjab government has provided the Z+ security cover of Punjab police to Delhi CM and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, citing a list of the categorised protectees.

PPCC chief Raja Warring questioned the Punjab’s AAP government as to why Delhi CM Kejriwal, who already has the Z+ security cover from the Central government, needed the same from Punjab government too? Along with the picture of the viral list, Raja Warring tweeted:

“Why Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal already Z+ protectee from central govt needs Z+ security from Punjab also?  That this has been done fraudulently is evident from the fact that he has been shown as  @AAPPunjab convener, while he is actually national convener. Shame on such pettiness!”

Similarly, Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira also lashed out at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of committing a fraud. A tweet posted by Sukhpal Singh Khaira reads:

“What a fraud committed by @ArvindKejriwal to show himself as Convenor Aap Punjab to secure Z Plus security personnel from Pb govt despite already having Z Plus cover from GOI as Cm Delhi.Below documents are from a writ petition in High Court. @BhagwantMann must explain dis fraud?”

Khaira claimed that the AAP government of Punjab has passed off Delhi CM Kejriwal as AAPs Punjab Convener to provide him the Z+ security cover of Punjab Police at the cost of the state exchequer. “Kejriwal Ji already has the Z-plus security provided by the GOI,” said Khaira, adding that the Z+ security of Punjab police has also been given to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha while the other MPs have normal security.

However, the Punjab police has denied all the claims made by PPCC chief Raja Warring and Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira over the Z+ security cover, stating that the circulated list was not an official document, it has no signature or official stamps, and that it was a mischievous attempt in order to sensationalise the issue.
