Content Creator Misha Agarwal Committed Su*cide, Family Reveals The Real Reason

Content creator Misha Agarwal tragically passed away on April 24, 2025, just days before turning 25. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news on her official Instagram account, later revealing that she died by suicide. According to the family’s statement, Misha had been battling intense sadness and anxiety related to her career. A significant decline in her Instagram follower count deeply affected her, as she had built her identity around the platform and aspired to reach one million followers—a goal she had set as her phone’s lock screen.

Her family shared, “My little baby sister had built her world around Instagram and her followers, with a single goal of reaching 1 million followers… when her followers started decreasing, she became distraught and felt worthless.” They recalled how she would cry in their arms, expressing fears like, “Jijja, what will I do if my followers decrease? My career will be over.”

Despite constant reassurance and reminders of her other achievements—including her LLB degree and preparation for the judiciary exam (PCSJ)—Misha continued to spiral into depression. Her loved ones emphasized that they always reminded her that Instagram was just a part of life, not the entirety of it.

“Unfortunately, she didn’t listen,” her family wrote, grieving her tragic choice. The emotional note concluded with a plea to remember her for her talent and spirit. “Please keep her in your thoughts and continue to carry her spirit in your hearts,” the post read.
