While almost all of the Punjabi industry is busy announcing their plans for the year to come, Dev Kharoud has also made the big announcement. The release of the sequel to 2018 Punjabi release, Daakuan Da Munda, had been postponed due to the coronavirus situation prevailing in the country at that time, now the renewed release date of the most awaited film has been officially made public. The movie is based on Manga Singh Antal’s biography. A book named ‘Shrarti Tatt’ has inspired the storyline of the movie. The book focuses on educating the youth on the issue of drug addiction and similar social issues.
The much-awaited Dev Kharoud starrer, Daakuan Da Munda 2 will be releasing worldwide in theatres on 4 March, 2022. Earlier, 23 July 2021 had been fixed as the official release date of the film but owing to the deadly global pandemic of coronavirus adversely affecting the whole film industry, Daakuan Da Munda 2 also had to meet its fate.
The film was postponed indefinitely and the makers did not update the fans on the release date of the movie for almost a year. It was very obvious because almost nobody had any clue about when the theatres will be finally operating on their full capacity. Now, we are finally here with the official announcement, 4 March 2022 is the date to watch out for.
The movie stars Dev Kharoud in the lead role, who also played the lead in the first installment. Mandeep Benipal has directed the film. It also stars Japji Khaira, Nishawn Bullar, Raj Singh Jhinjer, Lucky Dhaliwal, Preet Bath and many such renowned faces of the industry. The film was very awaited by the fans since its announcement and the official announcement of the release date has just made it much more exciting.
