If you are a Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fan, you must be missing Daya Ben in the show for the last few years. Disha Vakani and Dilip Joshi as Daya Ben and Jethalal were the leading pair, most loved and popular characters from the show. But Disha left the show by taking maternity leave. And since then, all her fans are only waiting for her to come back.
There have been various news stories about Daya’s comeback in the show. The makers have also openly talked about the same officially. TMKOC makers had announced and promised all the fans that Daya Ben would soon be back on the show.

Though both fans and the makers always wanted Disha Vakani to come back, the makers had also made clear that they will replace Disha Vakani if she doesn’t agree to join back. But now, there is good news for all the TMKOC fans that Disha Vakani herself is expected to come back as Daya Ben in TMKOC.
Recently a source close to the development revealed details about Daya’s comeback to News 18. The source said, “By October end or November beginning, you’ll be able to see Daya in the show. Makers have already approached Disha Vakani and talks with her are underway.”

“Reason that they (makers) have been waiting for such a long time is that they want Disha Vakani back. She is the priority. But if she does not agree to come back, they will find a new Dayaben. In any way, the character will be back on screens in November,” added the source further.
Earlier TMKOC’s producer Asit Kumar Modi had also appeared in an interview with ETimes, and talked about Disha Vakani’s comeback. He stated, “The reason why it took us so long to replace Disha is that after getting married, Disha did work for some time. She then took a break and had a baby and continued her break to raise her child. She never quit the show. Humko umeed thi ki Disha will return. But then the pandemic struck. There were too many restrictions on shooting during that time. Even though we were taking all the necessary precautions, Disha said she was scared to return to shooting.”

All the TMKOC fans are super excited and really happy after getting this ray of hope. Though Disha’s comeback is not confirmed yet, there are high chances the actress will join TMKOC and treat her fans.
Our fingers are crossed and we are waiting to once again see Daya Ben and Jethalal’s enchanting chemistry on screen.
