Brahmastra is not only the most awaited Bollywood of the year 2022 but has been one of the most anticipated projects from the time it was first announced. The fantasy adventure film is set to hit the theaters on 9 September.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles, Ayan Mukherji’s directorial Brahmastra also stars actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles. Also, it is said that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will make cameo appearances in the film.

While Shah Rukh Khan will have an extended fight sequence, Deepika Padukone will appear towards the end of the film as Parvati. And now, in an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, a source close to the development has also confirmed that Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play Parvati; the lead in Brahmastra 3.
Reportedly, Brahmastra 2’s story will be based on two characters in main; Mahadev and Parvati. While Deepika has been finalized to play Parvati, the details about which actor will play Mahadev in Brahmastra 2 are kept under wraps.
The source quoted, “The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part.”
The source also added, “Brahmastra was a challenge as an attempt was made to create something unique. The entire crew has now got hung up on the technology and hence, the time taken to make a sequel won’t be as long.”

But before the Deepika Padukone fans get all hyped up, let us present the twist in the story. Ayan Khan has the blueprints of both Brahmastra 2 and Brahmastra 3 ready, but he will only get these projects on floors depending on the response to Brahmastra 1.
It means Brahmastra 2 will only be made if Brahmastra 1 turns out to be a successful experiment. The film is set to release on 9 September and the entire Brahmastra team has high hopes for the project.
