Deepika Padukone Likely to Be Replaced in Kalki 2 After Spirit Exit

Deepika Padukone, who recently became a mother, seems to be going through a rough phase in her professional life. After reports claimed she was dropped from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Spirit, fresh buzz suggests that she might also be replaced in Kalki 2, which stars Prabhas.

According to a report by Bollywood.mobi, Deepika’s request for shorter working hours after her baby’s birth has allegedly led to some issues on the sets of Kalki 2. While there’s been no official confirmation from her or the film’s team, sources say the makers are now thinking of dropping her from the project altogether.

Earlier, her exit from Spirit was said to be due to disagreements over her pay and work schedule. Reportedly, Deepika had asked to work no more than six hours a day and wanted changes in her contract for additional payment if the shoot went beyond 100 days. This led to tensions between her team and the filmmakers.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga also shared a cryptic post on social media, indirectly expressing his disappointment. Without naming anyone, he hinted that he was let down by an actor who didn’t respect the effort behind the film.

Following Deepika’s exit, Triptii Dimri, who previously worked with Vanga in the film Animal, has been brought in as the lead actress in Spirit. She confirmed the news by posting the movie’s title poster along with her name written in multiple languages.

As of now, Deepika’s future with Kalki 2 remains uncertain, but her recent professional challenges have certainly become a topic of discussion in the industry.
