Delhi CM Kejriwal And Punjab CM Mann Flags Off Volvo Bus Service From Punjab To IGI Airport

Delhi CM, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, today evening, have flagged off the govt Volvo bus service from Punjab to IGI airport. As tweeted from the official handle of AAP Punjab:

No more loot by Transport Mafia in Punjab”

During the event, Delhi CM Kejriwal lashed out at the previous govt, claiming that the mafias flourished under the tenure of previous governments, but now the Bhagwant Mann govt is a “fiercely honest” govt, which never ever hesitate in taking any hard decision. 

Earlier, while announcing about the decision, chief minister Bhagwant Mann even slammed the previous governments for promoting the mafia culture and corruption in the state. As per the govt, the fare of these new govt buses will be half as compared to the private buses. 

Today, during the event, CM Mann attacked the oppisition, adding that the private transporters have been looting the people for decades, but now this money will go to the state treasury. As per the info, these buses will operate from Punjab to IGI airport, and IGI airport to various cities of Punjab. 

As said by chief minister Bhagwant Mann, daily seven Volvo buses will operate from Jalandhar bus stand to IGI airport, Delhi. Soon, similar buses will be moving from Ludhiana, Amritsar, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Patiala and Chandigarh daily. This step is seen as the fulfillment of one more pre-poll promise of the Bhagwant Mann govt.
