Gippy Grewal undoubtedly is one of the most popular and loved celebrities in Punjabi Entertainment Industry. He is an amazing singer, a great actor, producer and whatnot. And on the other hand, Dharmendra is one of Bollywood’s most successful and widely loved actors. The veteran actor was one of the first megastars of India, and no one can doubt his fan following.
Also, if you follow the two stars closely, you must know that both Gippy Grewal and Dharmendra share a very close bond. The two have now become family friends and have also worked together. But this surely hasn’t always been the case.

Gippy Grewal once revealed the incident when he unintentionally made Dharamendra extremely emotional. Gippy had actually narrated a story from his struggle days, leaving Dharmendra teary-eyed. And interestingly the story was also connected with Dharmendra.
Actually, this story is from 2005 when Gippy Grewal was not so popular. He was still working really hard to mark his place in the industry. And once he had gone to Mumbai for the shooting of one of his music videos.
It was then that he and one of his friends decided to roam around the streets of Mumbai and get to know the dream city. For this, they hired an auto who guided them across the town. They reached Amitabh Bachchan’s house, where the two cousins tried to meet someone from the Bachchan family. But the watchman sent them away by telling them the family had gone for an outing. They then proceeded to reach Dharamdra’s bungalow. But there also, the security guard shooed them away by saying no one’s available to meet them.

A few years later when Gippy had made a place for himself in the industry, he got a chance to work with Dharmendra in Punjabi film Double Di Trouble in 2014. Fortunately, Dharmendra ji was once having dinner at Gippy’s house in Chandigarh. And there Gippy narrated the story of him when he visited Dharmendra’s house for the first time.
On hearing the story, Dharmendra got extremely emotional and teary-eyed. He in fact also told Gippy that he shouldn’t have told him the story now. Dharam ji said, “Yaar Tune Mujhe Yeh Baat Kyun Batayi… Mujhe Ab Neind Nahi Aayegi… Mere Ghar Walon Ne Tere Saath Aise Kiya…”

Gippy Grewal revealed that Dharmendra is an emotional person in real life, and Gippy had to console them after the narration. He told Dharamednra, “Aap Kaunsa Pata Tha Main Kaun Hoon.. Hum Kaunsa Ek Doosre Ko Jaante The… Bohat Se Log Aate Hain Aapke Ghar Ke Bahara.. Leave It, Aap Chhodiye!”
