Kartik Aaryan and South sensation Sreeleela are currently in Gangtok, shooting for Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated romantic drama, the third installment of the Aashiqui franchise. Recently, two behind-the-scenes (BTS) videos from the set surfaced online, sparking curiosity among fans.
In one clip, Kartik, holding a guitar, is seen lip-syncing to a revamped version of ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’ from the original ‘Aashiqui’. Sreeleela, also spotted with a guitar, seems to be part of the musical journey, hinting at her involvement in a band. Meanwhile, Anurag Basu is seen directing the audience, ensuring every detail is captured perfectly.

The duo was previously seen filming in North Bengal, where a standout picture captured Kartik riding a bike with Sreeleela seated behind him. The actor sports long hair and an overgrown beard, with his left hand wrapped in a bandage, further piquing interest in his character.
Additional viral images show Kartik and Sreeleela receiving a warm welcome at a Siliguri hotel, along with candid BTS moments of the cast and crew enjoying their time on set.
The film’s title remains undisclosed. Initially, Triptii Dimri was set to play the female lead opposite Kartik, but Sreeleela eventually took over the role. Addressing the casting change at an event, Anurag Basu stated, ‘She is still my best friend, I really like her as an actress. You should ask her too what happened.’
With every new glimpse from the set, excitement continues to build for this romantic musical.
