Dilip Kumar is counted among the most impactful, brilliant and loved actors Bollywood Film Industry has ever had. He has acted in amazing and highly acclaimed movies like Mughal e Azam, Devdas (original), Naya Daur, Madhumati and many more.
The actor passed away in July 2021 when he was 98. The actor’s birth anniversary is approaching in December and the Film Heritage Foundation is planning to celebrate the day with all the Dilip Kumar fans. The occasion surely is grand, and 11 December 2022 will mark Dilip Kumar’s 100th birth anniversary. Hence, a special film festival is in the works to celebrate the 100 years of the star’s birth.

An exclusive report of Pinkvilla states that the Film Heritage Foundation is planning to organize a special film festival dedicated to Dilip Kumar. Quoting FHF founder Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, the report said, “Yes, that is the plan, but now there is a challenge of finding the right material for the festival, like how it was for Bachchan: Back To The Beginning. However, there is no better way to celebrate the legacy of Dilip Saab but by showcasing his work.”
He also added, “By doing that you’re not just celebrating him but all the people who have worked with him over the years. So, we would really like to do it, and I hope we are able to pull it off. Really looking forward to it.”
A similar kind of film festival was recently organized to celebrate the 80th birthday of Amitabh Bachchan. It was called ‘Bachchan: Back To The Beginning’ and was celebrated for 4 days i.e., 8 October to 11 October.
And now the FHF is working on making December special for the fans and admirers of Bollywood’s retro era. Dilip Kumar indeed was a big superstar and will be remembered as one of the pivotal parts in the growth and success of Hindi Cinema.

His fans are extremely excited and waiting for the Film Heritage Foundation to announce the Film Festival for Dilip Kumar’s 100th birth anniversary officially. For now, no details like the dates, and which of Dilip Kumar’s films will be re-released are out.
