Diljit Dosanjh recently performed in Hyderabad for his ‘Dil-Luminati India Tour’, and many of his fans were seen crying at his concert. He criticized those who troll women who cry at his events. After the Punjabi singer performed in Jaipur earlier this month, several videos of his female fans getting emotional went viral on social media. Many users also trolled the girls for this.
During his Hyderabad show on Friday night, Diljit Dosanjh spoke about trolls and explained that it is okay to be emotional. He said that only those who love music can connect with it. He further questioned those who mocked his female fans for crying and asked them not to make fun of the ‘desh ki beti’.
Diljit said, ‘It’s okay, it’s okay to cry. Music is an emotion. It has smiles, it has dance, it has fights, it has falls, it cries. I have also cried a lot listening to music. Only those who have emotions can cry. I got you, don’t you worry about it. These girls – nobody can stop them. They are independent. Not only men but women also earn. They earn and can enjoy it.’
The singer said, ‘Inna da apmaan karrahe ho, tussi desh di beti da apmaan karrahe ho, main tenu das diya gal (You are insulting her, you are insulting the daughter of the country, I am telling you).’
Diljit Dosanjh’s Hyderabad concert is part of his Dil-Luminati tour, which will visit 10 cities across India. The singer started his tour with a mega show in Delhi followed by Jaipur. He will next perform in Ahmedabad.
