This silence from the No Entry 2 team fuelled speculation that Diljit had been dropped from the film. Now, that noise has been shut down—Diljit Dosanjh No Entry 2 comeback is officially confirmed. He joins Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan in the Anees Bazmee-directed sequel, which begins filming post-October across Greece, Italy, and India.
Amid the drama, reports suggested Diljit had exited over creative differences. But both producer Boney Kapoor and director Anees Bazmee denied this. “There were just date issues,” Kapoor clarified, while Bazmee offered his trademark shrug: “Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta.” Diljit himself addressed the drama indirectly through a BTS vlog shot on the Border 2 set—featuring Bazmee and Kapoor—joking, “Ishq di gali vich No Entry,” and calling Bazmee his “favourite director.” His Border 2 comeback had just been announced days earlier, making his Bollywood return official on multiple fronts.
