Honsla Rakh starred Shehnaaz Gill with Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa and was considered a big hit at the box office. The fans loved Shehnaaz’s character in the film, but did you know she was not actually the first choice for it? Yes, you read that right, Shehnaaz had replaced someone for the role who was really excited to act opposite Diljit Dosanjh.

We are talking about Television actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia who is popularly known for playing the lead role in the television daily soap Chhoti Sardarni. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she revealed that she was roped in for one of the three lead roles in a Punjabi movie and Diljit Dosanjh had himself reached out to her on Instagram.
Nimrit stated, “I was offered Honsla Rakh during Chhoti Sardarni. It was Diljit sir who had reached out himself. He texted me on Instagram and asked if I would test for a part. I woke up to his message and started crying.”
But soon, she was replaced and the character was later performed by Shehnaaz Kaur Gill. Nimrit was really disheartened to know about the news but couldn’t help as she believes that somebody’s miss is somebody’s gain.
