Investigations revealed that both men were recruited online through Facebook, where they were manipulated and assigned the task of carrying out the firing.


Ghaziabad Encounter and Gangster’s Reaction

On September 17, two active gang members involved in the Disha Patani Bareilly firing were killed in an encounter near Ghaziabad’s Tronica City. The Delhi Police, UP STF, and Haryana STF launched the joint operation after tracking the bike used in the firing.

Gangster Rohit Godara later released a threatening statement, calling the encounter a “defeat of Sanatan” and warning political parties of retaliation.


Two Juveniles Arrested by Police

On Friday 19 September, Delhi Police arrested two juveniles connected to the Disha Patani Bareilly firing. Both have been taken into custody for their alleged role in assisting the shooters. This development comes after the earlier encounter where the two prime accused were gunned down.

Meanwhile, Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Patani, clarified that his daughter’s comments were misrepresented and wrongly linked to Hindu saints Premanand Maharaj and Anidruddhacharya Maharaj.
