Do You Know Irrfan Khan Essayed A Sardar’s Character In THIS Movie

Late actor Irrfan Khan, one of the most versatile and respected actors of the Bollywood industry. The actor had essayed all kinds of roles – from a world-weary cop to a cynical lover to an athlete-turned-dacoit. Irrfan enjoyed a wide fan base thanks to his range and versatility. While he featured in many critically acclaimed films, he also made an impact with commercially successful cinema. 

But do you know he has once played a Sikh character for one of his movies? If you don’t, then we must tell you that Irrfan Khan has essayed the role of a Sardar in the bollywood film Qissa. It is a serious film and revolves around a man and his quest to be connected with his source.

When asked about what he felt while portraying this role. The versatile artist unveiled, “I have never spoken Punjabi in my life, so it was difficult for me. Maintaining the look was tough as well. If you aren’t used to the pagdi (the turban) and you have to wear it every day, it becomes difficult. Then there were portions in the film which are grim, performance-wise.”

Though he faced so many challenges, delivering his best performance in the movie was mind-blowing. And the actor had once again proved that he could bag any role perfectly. And was the best among the contemporary actors in Indian Cinema.
