Payal Rajput is a well-established actress of TV industry and regional cinemas including the Punjabi industry. With her debut with Channa Mereya opposite Ninja in 2017, she gained a lot of liking from the Punjabi audience. Although she has not done any Bollywood film as a lead actress yet, she still has a strong link with it. Bollywood movie Tadap, starring Tara Sutaria and debutant Ahan Shetty, is an official remake of a Telugu movie that was released in 2018.
Tadap is the remake of the Telugu movie RX 100 which had Payal Rajput and Karthikeya Gummakonda in the lead roles. Payal Rajput played the lead actress of the origination of Tadap, that is RX 100. Payal’s character in her debut Telugu movie was named as Indu which came out to be very strong being the negative one in the film.
RX 100 is a romantic action drama film where Shiva and Indu are the constants in it. Indu (Payal Rajput) has played a character of a nymphomaniac, who has abnormal and uncontrollable sexual desire. Both of them get close in an intimate relationship. Shiva develops strong love for Indu but she never had such feelings for him. She used Shiva just to satisfy her sex and lust desires and this ends dirty when the lead character ends dying in the film.
Although it was a very uncertain character of Payal Rajput in the film, it got all applause from the viewers as this was her debut movie in the Telugu cinema. This film was a massive hit and has now reached at such a level that Bollywood has made a remake of the film. Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria have played the characters of Karthikeya Gummakonda and Payal Rajput respectively.
Also, Payal Rajput has done a number of films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinemas apart from just Hindi and Punjabi cinema. She has also received many awards for her debut in both the Punjabi and Telugu industry. Best debut actress award for Channa Mereya and 4 Best debut actress awards for RX 100 are in her basket for her first in both the industries.
