In a surprising twist, former BJP leader and ex-MP Ashok Tanwar has returned to the Congress, shaking up Haryana’s political scene just before the assembly elections. His comeback is viewed as a blow to the BJP, which had been relying on Tanwar’s political clout. This shift has the potential to alter the dynamics of the electoral race in the state.
Ashok Tanwar was earlier the President of Haryana Congress. After that, he joined Trinamool Congress accusing Rahul Gandhi and Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Then he joined the Aam Aadmi Party. After that he joined the BJP. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, he contested from Sirsa on a BJP ticket against Kumari Selja. However, he had to face defeat.
Elections will be held simultaneously on October 5 on all 90 seats of Haryana. Two days before the polling, Ashok Tanwar’s joining Congress has given a big setback to the BJP.
Let us tell you that today is the last chance for campaigning in the state. Campaigning will stop after six o’clock in the evening today. Voting will be held in the state on October 5, while counting of votes will be done on October 8.
